Yeah we missed last week’s update, just too much to do and too much stuff getting in the way. I have new appreciation and empathy for hurricane survivors, man it’s tough to get back to normal or even close.

Thanks to all who asked about us and our situation, and know we are moving forward and getting it back to the real.

One thing we did was to get our second Blues411 sponsored event at the The Roasting Room & Listening Lounge in SC. done. This week it was the Bruce Katz Band, and man did they wow the crowd Friday night. I can’t say how many folks came over to me and said how great they were and is this the type of music we are bringing to the low country – I just smiled and said Yes it is! Next event December 1st, when I’m 64 party.

Number one this week is ‘the soul of john black‘. I have dug this band for quite some time and I do believe that this is their very best effort – and that says a lot. They are unique in their musical form and style and I am thrilled to see them reach the top.

Some new releases, Hard Swimmin’ Fish and the aforementioned Bruce Katz Band have been added to our chartLook for these artists to chart well as we move toward the end of this year. That reminds me, we are hard at work on the 2016 Jimi Awards, so stay tuned.

Looking ahead to the near future we have a new DJ curated show coming up very soon. We are all extremely excited to add this veteran DJ to our growing list of on air talent. Stay tuned for details. But today – Monday – we have a new Music City Blues Kitchen sit down featuring a superb song writer Gary Nicholson. Airs at Noon today and through out the weeks to come. We want to thank Gina Hughes & The Galaxie Agency  for their support and forward thinking, all encompassing approach to Blues music.
