Congratulations to a fine young blues player, Jeremiah Johnson. J.J. has reached the top spot on the Blues411 chart this week and it’s a well deserved position. Check out his new release, and dig back into some of his older stuff, ya won’t be disappointed.

Our new addition this week is RD Olson who has a nice release here for us.

Our Amuse Bouche some Fresh Bytes that we heard while travelling back fron the
PA Blues Fest. I am sure some of these will wind up on the chart while all others are definitely getting spins.

A new partnership between The Roasting Room Lounge & Listening Lounge occurred this weekend in
14550715_1298247183533509_1206422797_odowntown Bluffton, SC. It featured amazing songwriter and artist Peter Karp. Check our Facebook page for a collection of photos from the event .We had a very good turn out and I think it finally dawned on our somewhat sleepy town that the artists within our blues framily are beyond what any of them are used to. Folks kept asking why they had not heard of this guy? Is this the level of talent you will be bringing here? What took you son long? And others that proved to me that the blues just needs to be seen live to be accepted and appreciated.

Our next artist will be Bruce Katz, on October 21, then Slam Allen for my day after birthday blow out on December 1. We have offered a special – buy a ticket for any show and get a discount off any of the next shows in the series.

etta-finalA new Music City Blues Kitchen chat up starts today at Noon. Etta Britt, sits with us and discusses how she came to work with Delbert McClinton, Lee Roy Parnell  and other folks. Her latest release “Etta Does Delbert” is a solid release of songs that she has done with Delbert and she nails them. Learn more about her life, music and continuing successes.

We are all shopped up, packed and ready to go to the Daytona Blues Festival this coming weekend at the Jackie Robinson Ball Park. Three days of, as our Saturday headliner, Marcia Ball, would sing, “Love Peace & BBQ” Join us for one of the most fan friendly and fun filled fests you can attend. The money goes to help multiple woman’s health organizations – vist the site at http://daytonabluesfestival.com/ .
