A Baker’s Dozen of Blues: October 10, 2016

Well let’s start off with the good stuff, Sunday Wilde has sole possession of the top slot this week. Her Blueberries & Grits release has taken over the charts and may even be in consideration for a BMA, or at least should be.

We have 2 new additions Dawn Tyler Watson a fine fine singer who I have been a fan of for quite some time. The other is Katy Guillen & The Girls. We were supposed to see Katy at the Daytona Blues Festival but seems like a certain Matthew had other plans.

Speaking of this past weekend, we had as you may have heard a big ol’ blowhard Matthew crash the festival and thanks to the foresight of the festival coordinators they cancelled early enough to insure safety for all folks involved. Our Amuse Bouche will feature some of the bands we might have seen there.

14642497_1322272034450353_1320976026558411361_nWe had to evacuate Bluffton, SC aka ‘the lowcountry’ and relocated to Atlanta and are still there as of Monday. Overall there was lots of trees down, flooding and floating debris and one little ‘ouchie’ that we can tell. Our screened lanai got ‘kerplunked’ with a bog ol’ pine tree. Our neighbors sent us this photo to show us the situation, and when we get home it’s gonna be a scramble to get insurance straightened out and all the other things that go along with this event.

Thanks to all who asked about us and our situation, and once we truly get back to SC we will update on things as we move forward.
