A Baker’s Dozen of Blues: November 23, 2015

Holy mojo workin’ Batman, what an incredible night of music in my hometown, NYC.  “The Little Label That Could” American Showplace Music hosted a rollicking cavalcade of their artists that was a non-stop, adrenaline boosting, soul stirring event. With so much good stuff going on Friday we cannot thank everyone by name, friends, childhood friends, new friends, artists thank you all for making this one of the best events this season.

This past Thursday we announced the 2015 Jimi Awards – we reached over 10k on Facebook, and the web is still alive and well with tweets, re-tweets, posting and overall promotion of these annual awards. Thank you all who shared and spread the word, and congrats to all nominees & everyone is a winner.

Our #1 artist this week just happens to be one of the musicians that we saw on Friday, master of the B3 and very humble and talented cat, Mr. John Ginty. We are featuring ‘Fredo-Remix feat. Redman, which is a re-mix of last weeks track Fredo, get down with it.

Our Amuse Bouche this week features some winners of the 2105 Blues411 Jimi Awards. We put together a selection of tunes from select categories and will continue to do this till we cover them all, so tune in and hear what we think are the best of the best.

We hope each and everyone of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, stay positive in these times and know that you are loved. We are headed home then off again to the 2015 Jimi Awards winning festival The Bradenton Blues Festival, so if ya got the notion then jump on over and have yo’selves a natural ball.
